The charity “Anti Noise” was founded in 2006 by John Szepietowski and was setup to provide free information and access to research, about the increase in pollution including noise pollution as a result of the aviation industry, with a particular focus on London Heathrow, London and the surrounding areas.

Below you will find a selection of the many useful resources that we review as a charity, some of these ave been written by our staff after hours of thorough research and fact checking, whilst other articles have either been written for us or have been posted to this website with citation being listed for the source of the information. These contents are from other resources and as such we try to the best of our ability and available resources to further research the information contained within the articles to verify the validity of the study(s) referenced or discussed. However in some cases where we do not have the resources or ability to verify the content the information is added to the site and we take no responsibility for the inaccuracies of such information.

2016 update:

Due to recent short falls in our donations we have had to cut back on the resources in use at the office, which means we are currently facing problems getting more news through to the website as we are taking more direct action against the problems of Aviation Emissions and Noise Pollution. We have recently been out and about in the London Heathrow area and at Westminster supporting the SHE – Stop Heathrow Expansions campaign, SHE is a resident-led Campaign Organisation whose mission is to drum up public support and raise awareness with an aim of blocking any expansion work at Heathrow airport, as well as trying to hold the aviation companies involved more accountable for the effects of their pollution.

Other organisations to check out are HACAN – A voice for those under Heathrow flightpaths. HACAN have been around since the early 1970s and have been instrumental in many aspects of their goals. One major achievement was that HACAN were instrumental in persuading the UK government to use a scheme called “Alternating Runways” which means that at 3pm everyday Heathrow has to change which runway is uses so that residents by each runway get a break from the blanket of noise caused by air traffic.
